Laura Guzman was born and raised in Visalia. She attended Golden State Business College, where she pursued training in Medical Assisting. Prior to joining Blue Oak Academy, Laura spent 15 years working as a Medical Assistant across a variety of specialties, including Family Medicine, Pediatrics, and Women’s Health.

Throughout her career, Laura frequently served as a translator for Spanish-speaking patients, helping bridge communication gaps and deepening her understanding of patient care and medical needs.

Laura enjoys working at Blue Oak Academy, where she supports the health and well-being of students each day. She is also a proud mom of two boys who attend BOA and are thriving as part of the school community.
