"So many things are possible just as long as you don't know they're impossible."
- Norton Juster, The Phantom Tollbooth
Stacey Nelson relocated from Southern California to Visalia in 2010 and began her career at the College of the Sequoias, where she spent 11 years working in Student Support Services. Passionate about education, Stacey found her niche outside the classroom—building a career in roles that allowed her to advocate for and support students of all ages as they worked toward their academic goals.
In 2022, after her child enrolled at Blue Oak Academy, Stacey was inspired by the mission of The Academies Charter Management Organization (TACMO) and joined the Charter Management Office team. Today, both of her children attend Blue Oak Academy, where they continue to thrive academically and socially.
In her role at TACMO, Stacey especially enjoys supporting the admissions process. She works closely with prospective families interested in Sycamore Valley Academy and Blue Oak Academy, guiding them through enrollment and sharing in the excitement as they begin their journey with The Academies.
Stacey holds a Bachelor of Arts in Computer Systems, with a minor in Information Technology, from California State University, San Bernardino.
